2022 Indoor Driving Challenge Dates available on Events Page

Well Sunday was our last Spring Arena Challenge for this year & everyone seemed to enjoy themselves, all the better for the beautiful weather.

The course was flowing but driving skills were the order of the day rather than sheer speed, there being two bogey elements numbers 4 and 10. Many thanks to Gordon for his course designing & to everyone who helped build & dismantle it.

Many, Many, thanks must go to Lynn Winder for donating her time to give all the competitors a little help with their Dressage. Everyone commented on how much they gained from Lynn's expertise whether they were encountering a specific problem with a movement or having trouble with a pace.

We are extremely grateful to both Paul and Lynn for their help, time and for generously sharing some of their knowledge with the club and members.

If you would like to see more sessions like these at our Autumn Arena Challenges please let us know either by the Whatsapp DGHDC Chat, Facebook, email or txt to 07871415700 {Hazel}.

Carriage Driving in South West Scotland and North Cumbria.

Welcome to Dumfries & Galloway Horse Driving Club
Based in Dumfries and Galloway the club runs carriage driving events in south west Scotland and North Cumbria.

The club has been in existence for over 30 years, started by driving enthusiasts looking for more excitement than the showing classes that were the norm in the mid seventies.

The club is run by enthusiasts for enthusiasts, not just for the competitive ones looking for experience before moving on to national competitions, but for drivers looking for a bit of fun and those who have been there, done it and are now just looking to drive and help bring on new drivers.

Our aim over the next few years is to encourage new people to enter the driving arena and together, develop our skills and competences.
